ITINERARY
Day 1, Tuesday – Arrive at Cairo International Airport
Day 2, Wednesday – Cairo
This morning you will meet your Egyptologist who will provide some details about the upcoming days. This morning begins your introduction to Egypt and its history, with no better starting point than the Citadel of Saladin and the mosque of Mohamed Ali. Next, visit the Coptic quarter of Cairo and the Ben Ezra synagogue, located Fustat, one of the oldest quarters within Cairo.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, then head back to your hotel. A wealth of Pharaonic holdings, as well as the remains of Tutankhamen.
This evening you will have the opportunity to visit the Khan el Khalili bazaar, always bustling with activities, followed by dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Cairo. (B, L, D)
Day 3, Thursday – Cairo
Today is another day of seeing the sites of Cairo. You depart your hotel driving through the metropolis of Cairo to Giza. You will visit the famous Pyramids of Sakkar and Giza and the Spinx, among the seven wonders of the world. Overnight in Cairo. (B, L, D)

Day 4, Friday – Flight to Aswan, Temple of Philea
This morning is an early wake-up, as we leave the Four Seasons to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Once you arrive in Aswan, you will explore the amazing temple of Philea, on the way to visiting the high dam.
Afterward, check-in and board your luxury Nile cruise ship, the MS Farah. This will serve as your luxurious base for the next three nights. Wonderful cuisine, spacious guest rooms, spa facilities and more await your enjoyment. Along with a clinic, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, game room, bar and more, not even the pharaohs had it this good! After having time to walk along the cruise ship, enjoy a delicious lunch on board.
This afternoon, see what it’s like to travel as a local as you enjoy a scenic Felucca ride along the Nile. This evening, attend a Nubian party on board your ship, featuring the region’s traditional music, while taking in a delicious buffet dinner.

Day 5, Saturday – More of your Nile cruise, Kom Ombo, Temple of Edfu
Following your morning breakfast buffet as you move slowly along the Nile, your touring will bring you to Kom Ombo, where you will explore the temple of Kom Ombo, an unusual double temple, which was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty through the years 180–47 BC.
The carvings on the columns depict life in ancient Egypt and the state of preservation and remaining colors are truly something to behold. Following a lunch back on your ship, you continue sailing to Edfu, where you disembark to visit the impressive Temple of Edfu. After touring, return to your ship where you can enjoy the rest of the evening and have a dinner on board as your ship sails to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor on your ship. (B, L, D)
Day 6, Sunday – Luxor and Valley of the kings
Today is a treat among visual treats, as your cruise takes you to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings to see the Hatshepsut temple, as well as a photo stop by the giant Colossi of Memnon. Lunch will be on your ship with an afternoon visit to the Karnak and Luxor temples. Dinner is on your ship in Luxor. (B, L, D)
Day 7, Monday – Return to Cairo
Optional: To start today off, you may partake in an optional balloon ride that begins at 4 am, where you will wake up to the beautiful morning’s sunrise. This amazing ride lasts 45 minutes.
This morning you leave your ship after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Transfer to your hotel in Giza near the airport, with a “Farewell Dinner” at your hotel. Overnight in the Cairo suburb of Heliopolis. (B, D)
Day 8, Tuesday – Departure from Egypt
This morning, you transfer to the airport for your departure flight from Egypt.
