FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5- ARRIVE IN ATHENS
You will be met at the airport on arrival and taken to your hotel in Athens. Later in the evening meet your tour manager and fellow travelers and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6- EXPLORE ATHENS AND THE ACROPOLIS
Today discover the beauty of Athens on your guided tour of Athens, including the Acropolis and its monuments including the Parthenon, dating back to 5th century BC. Visit the Acropolis Museum and marvel the fantastic exhibits, whilst in the shadow of the very site they were found. See Parliament Square and the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, closely guarded by the famous Evzone Guards, dressed in traditional Greek dress.
In the afternoon a local expert will discuss the issues Greece has had to face in very recent years and how it has affected where Greece is today. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore at your own pace.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7- THE ORACLE OF DELPHI
After breakfast we set off for Delphi, one of the most sacred sites of the Greek antiquity. Dwarfed on either side by the great crags of Parnassus, it’s easy to see why the ancients believed Delphi was considered to be the navel of the world. Visit the oracle, consulted by ancient Greeks to predict future events like the outcome of battles and the course of history. Walk with your expert guide along the Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo dating back to the 4th century B.C.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 8– TOWARDS OLYMPIA AND GREEK FARM
Today we set off for Olympia, crossing the most impressive suspension bridge to mainland the Peloponesse, the Rion Antirion Bridge and passing from picturesque seaside towns and villages. Lunch at leisure. In the evening enjoy an afternoon visit at a local farm with dinner.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9- OLYMPIA, HOME OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES
Visit the serene setting of Ancient Olympia, the site of the original Olympic Games that started in 776 BC. See where the athletes trained in the gymnasium and the stadium where the actual games took place. History will be brought alive as you tour this incredible site including temples of the Gods where visitors and athletes alike paid homage.
Drive past spectacular countryside and some unspoiled villages in the Mani region before arriving to our hotel in Monamvasia.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10- A FAIRYTALE VISIT IN THE CASTLE OF MONEMVASIA
A whole day to explore and experience the tiny island of Monemvasia,, separated from the Peloponnese by a small barrow. It is a medieval citadel without cars, with a majestic fortress still inhabited today and is a magnificent site to visit. Spend the day meandering the tiny streets and travel back in time exploring this unforgettable place. If you wish for a bit of a hike, walk to the top to see the old town and church ruins and admire the spectacular views from above.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11- FROM MYSTRAS TO NAFPLIO
Leave the beautiful Monemvasia and head on to Mystras, a remarkably intact Byzantine town winding up a lushly vegetated hillside. Walk through the winding alleys, past medieval houses and palaces and above all into the churches, several of which yield superb if faded frescoes.
Next destination is the elegant sea-side town of Nafplio. Enjoy the romantic vide of the town and the views of the Venetian Fortress “Bourtzi” set in the middle of the scenic Nafplio Bay. Visit the central square, explore the local arts and crafts stores, spend time in the art galleries or enjoy the seaside promenade.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12- EPIDAURUS, MYCENAE AND LOCAL WINE TASTING
Visit Epidaurus with its famous theatre and also Mycenae, the most important palatial center of the late Bronze age, walk through the Lion Gate and the remain of Agamemnon’s royal palace.
Today you will also have the opportunity to discover the exceptional wines of Greece. A wonderful wine tasting experience awaits for you to discover the excellent wines of the region, along with regional delicacies.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13- HYDRA ISLAND
Today, we take the boat to the stunning tiny island of Hydra, where vehicles are not allowed and only donkeys are used for transporting goods from the port around town. Travel back in time and enjoy the unique, elegant character of the island, its authentic architectural style, and cultural inheritance.

Return to Athens crossing the Corinth Canal.
